How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years?: My time in high school has taught me to work hard and be persistent if I want to succeed. Also, my experiences with my classmates have shown me the importance of surrounding myself with good influences, which will help me as I will soon be on my own.
Fondest memory of high school: Getting to play the quads upside down during a pep rally.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why?: Mr. Troyer had a huge impact on my time in high school because he spurred on my creativity to design and build things. Additionally, Mr. Broeg greatly influenced me in high school because he pushed me to be an instigator by helping me start STEM clubs.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you?: The greatest role model in my life has to be my Dad, who has helped me physically, mentally and spiritually to become the person that I am today. He has shown me the importance of working hard and the necessity of having a relationship with God.
What is special about your high school?: You don’t have to be the best at an activity to be involved. The school has a small community feel that allows anyone to go out for a sport/activity and be able to participate, but it is big enough that you can find a group of friends to make connections with.
If you go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself?: Make wise decisions in high school. You can try to have fun for four years or you can set yourself up for a lifetime of success.
