2024-25 SEC All-Conference girls basketball announced
Washington, Fairfield name three to All-Conference list, Mt. Pleasant two

The Southeast Conference’s latest installment of All-Conference Girls Basketball has been released.
The 2024-25 season was yet another wild one. It was an up and down year for the three Union area teams has Washington, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield finished four, five and six in the league.
Washington posted a conference record of 4-6, while Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield both finished 1-9 in the league.
This years’ conference title went to Burlington, who lost just one game in SEC play, finishing 9-1. Keokuk followed at 8-2 and Fort Madison at 7-3.
As for individual honors, Washington and Fairfield both have three names on the all-conference lists. Mt. Pleasant ends with two names.
Keokuk leads all conference teams with six names between 1st and 2nd-team as well as honorable mention.
Washington leads the area with the lone 1st-team selection.
The Demons’ Adalyn Long was one of four unanimous selections this season.
The junior guard once again did a little bit of everything for Washington, finishing top three in nearly category.
Long finished the season averaging 12.9 points to lead the Demons. That mark ranked third best in the SEC.
She also posted top five numbers in assists, averaging 3.0 a game. That not only led Washington, but was fourth best in the conference.
Long averaged 1.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per night, while shooting 35.8% from the field and 30.4% from three. All were team bests.
On the All-SEC second team is Fairfield junior Faith Jones.
Jones stepped into a larger role for the Trojans this season. The guard averaged 8.1 points per game to lead Fairfield.
She also finished with 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.3 assists. Jones also shot a team best 32.7% from the field, while knocking down 31.3% of her threes.
All Southeast Conference teams have two players named to honorable mention.
For Mt. Pleasant, senior Alexa Fuller and junior Kynlee White represent on the list. Fuller averaged 6.8 points for the Panthers, while White followed with 6.0 points a night.
Washington is led on the honorable mention list by senior’s Kendall and Lauren Hinrichsen. Kendall finished the season averaging 6.4 points a game, while Lauren scored 3.7 a night.
For Fairfield, senior Grace Lyon and junior Maddy Martin are on honorable mention. Lyon averaged 6.0 points a game in her final season. Martin, meanwhile averaged 2.5 points, while leading the Trojans in rebounding with 4.3 a game.
