2024 SEISC All-Conference baseball
Pekin, Highland paces North with six selections, Van Buren County leads South with four picks

Another year down for Southeast Iowa Super Conference baseball, which means it’s for another SEISC All-Conference list.
It was another hectic year in the SEISC North and South Divison. Things ended up shaking out a lot like last year as Burlington Notre Dame was the South Division champion with a record of 11-0, 28-4, while Hillcrest Academy was the top squad in the North with an overall record of 9-2, 16-5.
Highland (8-3, 11-14), Pekin (8-4, 9-10) and Winfield-Mt. Union/Columbus (4-6, 9-12) followed in the next three spots. Lone Tree (4-7, 7-14), Louisa-Muscatine (4-7, 5-16), Wapello (2-10, 4-18) rounded out the division.
As for the SEISC South, Mediapolis (8-3, 21-8), Central Lee (7-5, 16-7), West Burlington (4-6, 7-14), Van Buren County (3-7, 8-17), New London (2-8, 8-15) and Danville (1-7, 4-15) followed behind Notre Dame.
Individually, Pekin led the Union area in the North with six total selections. Hillcrest Academy finished with five selections. The Ravens’ Danny Hershberger was also named the 2024 North Coach of the Year. Winfield-Mt. Union/Columbus had four picks.
The Player of the Year is Lone Tree’s Emmett Burke.
All teams were awarded two honorable mention selections as well.
In the South, Van Buren County finished with four total all-conference honors, while New London closed with two.
The South’s Player of the Year is Notre Dame’s Caden Schwenker. The Nikes also earn the coaches honor with Chris Chipprez.
Beginning with Pekin, it’s senior JaeDon Wolver who was a first-team infield selection.
Wolver played in all 19 games for the Panthers on the season. His averaged of .327 was second best for Pekin. He notched 12 runs, 17 hits with 10 RBIs.
Wolver also did a bit of pitching throwing 511 pitches while giving up 29 hits, 17 runs (16 earned), with a high of 45 strikeouts. He held an earned runs average of 3.86.
Henry Adam makes first-team for Pekin as an outfielder. The freshman had a team high batting average of .369. Adam had 24 hits to lead the Panthers, ending with seven RBIs.
On the mound, Adam finished with an ERA of 1.42, lowest for the Panthers. He allowed 10 hits, 11 runs (four earned) with 27 strikeouts.
Sven Dahlstrom (pitcher), Riley Smith (catcher), Alijah Brock (Infield) and Will Adam (outfield) all earn a second-team distinction.
Pekin’s pair of honorable mentions were Nolan Glick and Deklan Hampton.
Representing Highland on first-team is William Dunbar as an infielder. Dunbar, who is a junior, led Highland with a batting average of .373. He also posted a team high 28 hits with 17 RBIs.
Also for the Huskies it’s Logan McFarland as an outfield. McFarland followed with a batting average of .333. He followed Dunbar with 28 hits and carded a team best 18 RBIs.
Colton Sypherd (pitcher), Garrett Beeson (catcher), Landon Roling (infield) and Ryker Miller (outfield) earned second-team honors for the Huskies.
Caleb Wheeler and Bryce Hazelett are 2024 honorable mention selections for Highland.
Hillcrest was paced by Liam Schrock as a catcher on first-team. Schrock batted a team second best .364. He also tallied 24 hits with 14 RBIs. He had three home runs on the year as well. Behind the plate, Schrock ended with just two errors in 125 chances. He also threw out seven runners.
As a pitcher Schrock finished with a 3-0 record, giving up just 17 hits, eight runs (six earned) with 13 strikeouts.
Rowen Miller is on as an infielder. The sophomore batted .407 and finished with 24 hits and a team best 23 RBIs.
On the hill, Miller totaled a 5-0 record. He gave up 19 hits, 15 runs (nine earned) with a team high 34 strikeouts.
Another Raven on the first-team list is junior Seth Ours. Ours hit .300 through the 2024 season, finishing with 21 hits and 16 RBIs. Ours also pitched for the Ravens, finishing with an ERA of .320. He gave up 46 hits, 24 runs (16 earned) with 31 strikeouts.
On second-team for Hillcrest Academy, Mason Helmuth (outfield) and Phoenix Anderson (utility) make it.
Lawson Schrock and Mason Bender are the Ravens honorable mention players.
For first-team on Winfield-Mt. Union/Columbus, Cael Phillips represents at a pitcher.
Phillips finished with a 4-2 record on the mound and a 2:45 ERA. He gave up 39 hits on the season, 31 runs (14 earned) with 34 strikeouts.
In the catcher spot it’s Cole Milks. Milks finished with just one error on the season. He ended with a batting average of .385 as well, ending with 25 hits and a team high 18 RBIs.
Riley Kaalberg earns the distinction as an outfielder. Kaalberg finished with a team best ERA of .431. He tallied 28 hits and nine RBIs with one home run.
Trevor Phillips (infield) is the Wolves lone second-team honoree.
Lane Genkinger and Tyson Kaalberg are WMU/Columbus’ two honorable mention selections.
In the SEISC South, Van Buren County is led by Lucas Fett on first-team. Fett is an infield selection. Fett had a team high batting average of .400 on the year. He finished with 20 hits and 12 RBIs.
On the hill, Fett posted a record of 3-2 with an ERA of 2.73. He gave up 16 hits, 18 runs (10 earned) with 39 strikeouts.
TJ Jirak (catcher), Izaak Loeffler (infield) and Deken Huff (outfield) are the Warriors second team selections.
Kinnick Millard and Isaiah Meek makes the honorable mention list.
New London’s Gavin Menke-Bailey makes the second-team list as an infielder. Menke-Bailey led the Tigers with a batting average of .435. He also had a team high 27 hits with 14 RBIs and knocked three out of the park this season.
At the pitchers spot, Menke-Bailey finished with a 4-2 record, tallying 25 strikeouts.
Memphis Watson is a utility pick. Watson batted .388 with 26 hits and 19 RBIs. He also threw to a 3-3 record with 19 strikeouts.
The Tigers pair of honorable mention selections were Gage Burden and Michael Raines.
