3 Iowa Wesleyan wrestlers jump into national rankings
Sunlin, Palumbo, Vanderwood all reach NAIA Top-20 poll, Tigers ranked 20th as a team

Three members of the Iowa Wesleyan wrestling team are now nationally ranked after a new NAIA National ranking was released on Thursday.
Tiger grapplers Alaina Sunlin, Mia Palumbo and Joanna Vanderwood, all freshmen, became the first ranked wrestlers in Iowa Wesleyan history.
Sunlin is the highest ranked Tiger wrestler. She is currently No. 4 at the 101-pound weight class. Palumbo climbed into the Top-10, at No. 9 in the 109-pound weight class. Vanderwood is ranked No. 14, at 130 pounds.
Three other Iowa Wesleyan wrestlers received votes. Zoi Smith (123), Emma Benavides (130) and Destiny Campbell (136) all picked up votes in the poll.
The Tiger women’s team is now ranked as well. Iowa Wesleyan sits at No. 20 in the NAIA women’s team rankings.
