42 golfers hit WGCC for a two man best shot

Players at the Washington Golf and Country Club Senior League enjoyed a beautiful day of golf on Wednesday, before retreating to the clubhouse afterward for light snacks and refreshments, and to relive great shots and lost balls.

Five events were contested. Donnie Robertson and Bob Gaal were the closest to the hole on the two par 3s. Roger Harris cashed in with his closest to the pin second shot on Hole 6. Carl (Chewy) Chalupa sank the long putt on a treacherous pin placement hole 8. Doug Dunlap was the winner of the driving contest on Hole 9.

The Senior’s League is played Wednesday afternoon and open to any member of the WGCC. For membership information call the clubhouse at (319) 653-2080.
