5K to support Shoes for Orphaned Souls
A 5K fun walk/run to support Shoes for Orphaned Souls will be Saturday, Sept. 14 9 a.m. at East Lake Park.
The event will start at the Hayward shelter, and entry to the event will be a pair of athletic shoes for children, socks or shoelaces.
Wal-Mart Logistics has donated a pallet of water and Hy-Vee has donated baked goods that will be provided for the walkers and runners at the event.
