7 Eagles named to SICL teams

KEOTA - The South Iowa Cedar League has released its picks for all-conference teams for both boys and girls basketball ahead of tournament play.
SICL co-champions Keota and Montezuma, the East Division and West division champions respectively, each had two selections to the boys first team.
Luke Hammen and Keota teammate Carson Sprouse were the picks for the Eagles.
Hammen was fourth in the East in points per game at 16.6 while Sprouse was fifth with 16.1 and second in steals with 3.1. Hammen was first in 3-point percentage (45.3), third in threes made and fourth in attempts. Sprouse was second in 3-point attempts, third in made threes.
Trey Shearer (first in 27.4 ppg, 5.0 assists, free throws made, field goals attempted and 3-pointers made) and Cole Watts (first in 3-point percentage, second with 19.6 ppg) were the named Braves.
Brady Duwa (third in field goal percentage at 51.8 and fifth in assists) was named to the second team for the Eagles. Sam Sieren and Bryce Greiner garnered honorable mention.
Keota had Sky Weber as an honorable mention selection for the girls.
