7th, 8th grade girls compete

The Washington middle school girls track teams competed Monday at Mt. Pleasant.
The seventh grade was sixth out of eight teams with 64 points. Mt. Pleasant won with 109.
Audrey Anderson won the long jump at 13 feet, 3.5 inches and Taylor Bartholmew was third at 12-8.5. Anderson was second in the 200 hurdles with a time of 25.24 and Bartholomew was second in the 400 meters in 1 minute, 10.65 seconds and third in the 200 in 31.95.
Other top three finishers for the Demons were Remi Messinger, who was second in the high jump at 4 feet. The 4x800 relay team of Emery Walton, Amelia Dahl, Madison Hesseltine and Giselle Marcelino was second with a time of 12:31.62.
The eighth grade was second with 100.33 points behind 133 of Mid-Prairie.
Winners were the 4x8 with Anna Collett, Alecia Goff, Kaylin Long and Grace Voss in 12:14.47 and Molly Klinzman in the 200 in 31.85. Makenna Conrad was victorious in the long jump (15-0), the 400 (1:10.63), second in the 100 (14.37) and third in the 200 (30.49).
Grace Voss was third in the high jump at 4-2 and Long was third in the 800 in 3:07.
