8th grade boys win meet

The Washington eighth grade boys track team ran at the Don Taft Relays in Mt. Pleasant Friday.
The Demons won the eight-team meet with 130 points. Mt. Pleasant was second with 118.
Washington won seven events with Ethan Patterson claiming three victories - the 100 meters in 12.42 seconds, the 400 in 55.27 seconds and the 200 in 25 seconds. Elijah Morris won the 1600.
Austin Rebling, Drew Horak, Julian Marcelino and Cameron Vonpongya won the 4x800 relay in 10 minutes, 6.79 seconds. Clayton Streeter, Logan Wenger, Keaton Crawford and Adin Muff were the victors in the distance medley with a time of 4:39.42. James Strabala, Marcelino, Rebling and Morris won the 4x1 in 51.69.
Patterson was second in the high jump at 5-foot-5. Vonpongya was second in the 800 in 2:32.7. Tristan Miller was third in the 100 hurdles in 17.57.
Tayven Stuart, Tucker Graff, James Strabala and rebling were second in the 4x2 in 1:52.43. Logan Wenger, Graff, Strabala and Miller were second in the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:09.13.
