8th grade girls lose, win

The Washington eighth grade girls A team lost at home, 38-11, Monday to Ft. Madison. The B team won in two quarters of play, 5-3. The B team record is 5-0-1.

The A team (2-5) was led by Makenna Conrad's six points. She also had a rebound and a steal. Other A stats were Alex Murphy - three points, three rebounds; Haley Mitchell - two points, two steals; Kenializ Espinosa - one rebound, one steal; Alecia Goff - one rebound; Samantha Hunger - two rebounds, one steal; Kaylin Long - four rebounds; Iris Petersen - four rebounds, one steal; Bailey Rees - two rebounds; Grace Voss - two rebounds.

Stats for the B team were Kenializ Espinosa - three points, one rebound, one steal; Makayla Garrelts - two points, one rebound, two steals; Sam Hunger - two rebounds; Hayden Janecek and Ava Wulf - one rebounds, one steal each.
