FAIRFIELD — Fairfield’s Dylan Adam is off to Cornell College next school year. Adam signed his letter of intent last month to sign on with the Rams to further his athletic career.
Adam is one of three Fairfield track athletes to sign letters of intent in the month of February. Gabe Tejada and Ryan Giberson signed on to run at St. Amborse and Simpson College respectively, meaning the Trojan boys’ track team will be sending at least three athletes to three different Iowa schools.
Adam was a big part of the Trojan track team that took fourth in the Southeast Conference boys race last year, but was the highest-scoring SEC boys' team at the state meet.
Adam was a part of the only relay team to make the state meet for the Trojans. He ran the second leg. of the sprint-medley relay team, which took 23rd in Class 3A. Although a few of his relay mates were lost to graduation, he says he’s excited to see what the relay teams bring into this spring.
Adam will join a Cornell squad that is coming off a Midwest Conference championship at the 2025 indoor meet.
