All-SEC Academic volleyball team announced
The Southeast Conference released its All-Academic high school volleyball team last week. The All-Academic squad features seniors and juniors who, along with playing volleyball, are excelling in the classroom as well.
The Union area was represented well on the list, as Fairfield, Washington and Mt. Pleasant accounted for 37
Fairfield had 16 players named to the list. Washington came in with 13 names, and Mt. Pleasant had nine.

Fairfield: Lilly Bergren, Joelie Crile, Kaitlyn Greiner, Brenna Guiter, Olivia Hollander, Maddie Jones, Lucy Kuhl, Kaylee Light, Grace Lyon, Cassidy Mallinger, Avery Morris, Madison Shaw, Briana Steele, Haleigh Strickland, Rowan Terrell and Claire Thompson.
Fort Madison: Aijalynn Jenkins, Taylor Johnson, Amy Yasenchok, Gabrielle Ruble, Lauryn Helmick, Alexus Beebe, Mazie Hotop and Brylie Lorence.
