With soccer season in the books, the postseason recognition for area teams has started to come in. Washington?s boys? soccer team claimed three spots on the All-Southeast Conference team for their efforts this season, highlighted by freshman Caleb Suchan (pictured) earning a first-team selection. Suchan finished the year tied for the team lead in goals scored with five, scoring two goals in a game against Mediapolis early in the season. Suchan was joined in the postseason recognition with fellow freshman Garret Ikerd and sophomore Tony Torres both earning honorable mention selections. Torres also scored five goals for the Demons to go with two assists, while Ikerd scored a goal on the year, after appearing in nearly every game this season. The Demons also had three members of the team earn academic All-Conference honors (awarded to juniors or seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher), with Kyle Anderson, John Dillon and manager Shelby Mineart all earning the recognition. The Demons finished the season 2-11 this year after falling in the sub-state tournament to Fairfield.
