After a strong season for the Highland boys? basketball team, which saw them earn a share of the conference title, they continue to be rewarded.
Highland senior Tucker Hall and junior Trent Lasek each earned their second nomination to the All-SEISC North Division first team for their efforts this year.
Hall continued his dominance from behind the arc, finishing second in the conference with 55 3-pointers, shooting them at a clip of 40.4 percent to earn the first-team honors.
Hall dished out 35 assists this season, but arguably his biggest contribution came on the defensive end, where he routinely followed the top opposing guard.
Lasek was another second-time selection for his offensive prowess this season.
He dished out 129 assists this year to go with a team-high 12.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Lasek will look to build on those numbers in his senior season.
Highland also had two second-team honorees, led by senior Tereze Lanfair.
Lanfair routinely came off the bench to give Highland a spark and finished second on the team with 9.9 points per game, and shot the ball at a rate of 58.8 percent. Lanfair also added 4.4 rebounds per game.
Joining him on second-team All Conference was Bill Burton, whose high-flying jumping skills set him apart.
He led the team with 5.3 rebounds per game this year, to go with a team-best 27 blocks and 61 steals. He also notched 7.5 points per game for the Huskies.
Seniors Chris Mellinger and Nick Sandburg each were given honorable mention recognition.
WACO?s All-conference recognition was led by junior Jackson Roth, who was named to the second team.
Roth averaged 12.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season to go with team highs in assists (60) and steals (68).
He was joined by senior honorable mention selections Duncan Pickard and Bryce Achen.
Columbus earned two honorable mention selections to the team with Carter Colby and Tommy Pretz earning recognition.
IMS? selections can be found in the March 3 edition of The Journal.
