KALONA - The Mid-Prairie high School softball team wore special jerseys Friday during a game with Washington.
The jerseys were to commemorate the life of Mid-Prairie football player and wrestler Colton Allen, who died in June.
An announcement by the public adress made before the game said, 'He was a dear friend, classmate, brother and son. Colton enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and messing around with his brother and friends. Colton is dearly missed by all.”
The jerseys had the name Allen where a player's last name is, the player's number, then 'For Colton May The Good Times Never End”
All of the proceeds from the concession stand at Friday's game, which totaled more than $1,000, will be donated to his family.
