An impressive senior campaign led to recognition in the postseason for Washington senior Derek Anding.
Anding averaged 19.1 points per game to lead the Southeast Conference boys? basketball team, earning a first-team selection in his final campaign as a Demon.
Anding was the only Demon to earn first-team honors, and supplemented his scoring by hitting a conference-high 52 3-pointers and recording a field-goal percentage of 41.4 percent, to go with four rebounds and 1.2 steals and assists per game.
Anding?s biggest highlight on the stat sheet this year was a 31-point, 10-rebound game against Davis County.
Joining Anding on the All-Conference lists was sophomore Dalton Myers, who earned second-team honors in his first varsity campaign.
Myers averaged 11 points per game this season, and led the team with 2.7 assists per game, to go with 2.4 rebounds per game.
Myers posted a season-high 28 points against Center Point-Urbana earlier this season, and will look to build on a strong sophomore year.
Earning honorable mention nods were frontcourt juniors John Dillon and Bryce Sinn.
Dillon led the team in rebounds and steals, grabbing 6.6 boards per game (good for fourth in the conference) and 37 steals throughout the year.
Dillon also added 4.2 points per game, to go with a team-high 18 blocks.
Sinn averaged 7 points per game, while grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game (sixth in the conference),
Sinn also averaged a steal per game for the Demons.
Washington will lose Anding and three other seniors from this season?s team, and will look to rely on the frontcourt of Dillon and Sinn, as well as Myers? backcourt ability to help build on a seven-win season.
