AP releases boys rankings

The Associated Press released its first rankings of the new year for Iowa high school boys basketball.
WACO, which is unbeaten after surviving a two-point win over Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division foe New London Friday, is still ranked sixth in Class 1A despite receiving two first-place votes. New London got one vote and fellow South member Notre Dame had five votes.
River Valley Conference members Camanche and Iowa City Regina are ranked in Class 2A. Camanche is fourth and Regina seventh. West Branch is receiving votes as is SEISC South Division member West Burlington.
South Iowa Cedar League member Montezuma is ranked second in Class 1A.
