Area All-Conference basketball teams named

Area sports conferences recently released the All-Conference teams and several southeast Iowa basketball players were selected.

Three Washington boys were chosen in the Southeast Iowa Conference.

On the second team is junior Jaivonn Willis.

Honorable Mention nods went to senior Mason Rich and junior Dalton Myers.

Those receiving Academic All-Conference honors are juniors Brennan Horak and Jacob Van Osdol along with seniors John Dillon and Mason Rich.

Washington had a 2-6 record in the SEC and were 7-14 overall.

In the River Valley Conference four Mid-Prairie girls were selected.

On the Elite Team is junior Addie Rath.

Seniors Ali Butters and Ireland Hostetler were chosen for the South Divisional team.

Sophomore Shae Becker received Honorable Mention.

From the boys team, senior Caleb Statler was picked for the South Divisional team.

Senior Carter Reinier received an Honorable Mention nod.

The Golden Hawk girls ended the season with a 17-7 record while the Mid-Prairie boys had a 7-17 overall season record.
