Area athletes win medals at summer games
Thomas Van Collie won a silver medal and Blake Lefler took home bronze in the 2012 Summer Iowa Games powered by the Iowa Food and Family Project.
Van Collie, a resident of Fairfield, competed in the Intermediate Senior Grandmaster Male division of disc golf. Lefler, an Agency resident, took part in the Freestyle Adult division of archery.

Van Collie, a resident of Fairfield, competed in the Intermediate Senior Grandmaster Male division of disc golf. Lefler, an Agency resident, took part in the Freestyle Adult division of archery.
The Summer Iowa Games featured more than 14,000 athletes competing in a variety of Olympic-style sports. The event is part of the National Congress of State Games and open to Iowa residents of all ages and abilities.
