Area baseball teams doing well
The Mid-Prairie baseball team won two of their six games played last week.
In the match-up against Monticello Thursday, June 1, they won 8-3. The boys lost both games of a doubleheader at Center Point-Urbana Friday, June 2.

The Mid-Prairie baseball team won two of their six games played last week.
In the match-up against Monticello Thursday, June 1, they won 8-3. The boys lost both games of a doubleheader at Center Point-Urbana Friday, June 2.
The first game ended 2-10 and the second game had a 2-12 final score.
The boys split wins at Tipton Monday, June 5. The first game was a 7-11 loss for Mid-Prairie while the second game ended with a 13-8 victory.
The boys lost at Northeast Goose Lake 3-4 Tuesday, June 6. They have a 6-4 record and play at Cascade tonight, starting at 7:30 p.m.
For 7-1 Highland, they defeated Holy Trinity 13-2 Thursday, June 1, and had a 13-3 victory over Columbus, Friday, June 2. They are host to West Burlington, Thursday, June 8. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Iowa Mennonite baseball team is 3-3 so far this season after they lost to West Branch, Friday, June 2, by a 3-7 score.
The boys defeated Columbus 15-0 Monday, June 5, and won by a 3-2 margin at West Burlington, Tuesday, June 6.
They are host to Montezuma tonight, starting at 7 p.m.
The Columbus baseball team lost at Highland, Friday, June 2, by a score of 3-13 and lost at Iowa Mennonite 0-15 Monday, June 5.
The boys earned their first victory of the season Tuesday, June 6, when they defeated Danville 15-0.
They will play against Central Lee tonight, starting at 7 p.m. with a 1-7 record.
Keota has a 6-2 record for the season so far. They defeated English Valleys 16-6 Friday, June 2, and won over Montezuma 17-0 Monday, June 5.
The boys won by a 7-2 score at North Mahaska, Wednesday, June 7. Their next game is Friday, June 9, against Lynnville-Sully, starting at 6 p.m.
