PACKWOOD ? One night after scoring a school-record 45 points, Pekin?s Trey Sathoff had another big game to lead the Panthers to a 55-47 victory over Lone Tree (11-8, 9-8 SEISC north) Tuesday night.
Sathoff scored 28 points to go along with 18 rebounds as Pekin (13-5, 11-5) broke a 36-36 tie entering the fourth quarter with its biggest effort of the night ? a 19-point fourth quarter.

Sathoff scored 28 points to go along with 18 rebounds as Pekin (13-5, 11-5) broke a 36-36 tie entering the fourth quarter with its biggest effort of the night ? a 19-point fourth quarter.
The Panthers were 19-of-26 from the free throw line in the game and sealed the victory down the stretch. Foul shots ended up being the difference as cold shooting plagued both teams with each squad hitting 17-of-44 from the field.
The Panthers will play a makeup game at home against Wapello Thursday before hosting Burlington-Notre Dame for the SEISC shootout Friday night.
Van Buren 71, Cardinal 58
ELDON ? Van Buren led by four points entering the fourth quarter, but nearly equaled its point total from the first three quarters combined in the final period in the sprint to the finish.
The Warriors (10-9, 10-7 SEISC south) put up 33 points in the fourth to take a 71-58 SEISC south division battle at Cardinal (9-10, 8-9) Tuesday night.
Colin Weaver and Elliott Remick led Van Buren with 20-point performances as Weaver poured in 25 and Remick finished with 22. Zach Boyd added 10 more points.
The Comets had a big finish themselves, but quickly fell off the Van Buren pace. Trevor Kayser finished with a game-high 30 points and 17 rebounds to lead the way, AJ Rachford added 11 points and Brandon Warren finished with seven.
Friday?s SEISC shootout matchups have Cardinal traveling to Louisa-Muscatine while the Warriors visit Winfield-Mount Union.
W. Burlington 50, MSAE 33
WEST BURLINGTON ? The Maharishi School boys? basketball team was unable to respond to one final West Burlington run and the Pioneers were handed a 50-33 loss on the road Tuesday night.
West Burlington (5-12, 5-11 SEISC south) outscored the Pioneers (2-17, 2-15) 15-7 in the final period.
MSAE was well below its season average with 13 turnovers and Sky Nite led the way with 14 points. Paul DeAngelis added eight and Derek Thatcher turned in eight points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Next up for MSAE is the ninth-place SEISC shootout game at Wapello.
