OTTUMWA - The Fairfield bowling teams had a good day at the lanes on Monday. The Trojans out-rolld both Centerville and Washington at their temporary home alley in Ottumwa.
The Fairfield boys beat Centerville, 2,627-2,258. The Trojan girls won 2,134-1,723. Washington's co-ed squad rolled a 1,533.
Chance Swan led the Fairfield boys with his highest series of the year, a 486. He rolled a 255 in his first game and a 231 in his second game to get to that total, which tied his uncle Eric Swan for the third-highest series in Trojan bowling history. Chance Swan still is atop that list with his 500 last season.
Drake Drish was second for the Trojan boys with a 312. Wyatt Baker scored 301. Gannon Scott finished at 297. Kane Hook rolled a 268, and Chris Kyle finished at 260.
The Trojan girls were led by a 342 from Airianna Taylor. She rolled a 187 in her opener and followed with a 155.
Lilly Huff finished just below 300 with a 299. Karen Ehet rolled a 286. McKayla Taylor finished at 261. Hope Brammer rolled a 254, and Willow Elliot rounded out the Fairfield girls with a 214.
Washington's co-ed team was led by Ethan Zieglowsky, who rolled a 452. He polished off a 248 in the first game and followed with a 204. Aiden Miller bowled a 284. Calbe Zieglowsky rolled a 257, and Zakk Hesseltine finished at 55.
