Area bowling: Fairfield wins home triangulars

The Union area bowling teams have been busy ever since the weather cleared up last week. All six of the Union area squads have been in action.
In Fairfield on Monday, the Trojans hosted both Centerville and Washington in a triangular. Fairfield finished at the top of both events.
On the boys’ side, Fairfield scored 2,427 points, thanks in part to a 404 from Ethan Cass, a 390 from Dalton Drish and a 370 from Dayson Workman.
Centerville finished second in that triangular, scoring 2,066 points. Washington was third place, with 1,977.
On the girls’ side, Fairfield scored 1,765 to knock off the Reddettes and Demons. Grace Forest bowled a 276, and Eleanore Houston finished at 250.
The Mt. Pleasant girls went 1-1 over the week, beating Burlington 2,452-1,970 on Thursday and falling to Keokuk 2,658-2,255 on Tuesday.
Bethany Drury led the Panthers with a 420 on Thursday. Shyann Smith and Addison McGehearty scored 313. On Tuesday against Keokuk, Drury led the way with a 338. McGehearty scored 325, and Natalie Brush bowled a 307.
The Panther boys fell 2,578-2,743 against Burlington on Thursday. On Tuesday, the Panthers dropped matchup to Keokuk 2,902-2,389.
Alec Payne led the Panthers against Burlington, bowling a 357. Conner Sizemore and Joseph Rheinschmidt bowled a 354 and a 350 respectively.
On Tuesday in Keokuk, Henry Pforts led Mt. Pleasant with a 349. Payne bowled a 312, and Sizemore ended at 307.
