Area football stars land on All-District team

The Class 3A District 4 team was released Tuesday. Stars from Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant and Washington each had players land on the All-District first and second teams as well as earn honorable mention honors.

Mt. Pleasant coach John Bowlin was given 3A-4 Coach of the Year honors after leading the Panthers to a 7-3 record and a 4-1 mark against the District. Carter Myers and Isaiah Lange earned Defensive and Offensive Line MVP honors, and Dylan White was named a specialist MVP for the Panthers.

Washington’s Greyson Hartman was given an Offensive Line MVP Award. Fairfield’s Spencer McCready was presented with the Golden Award, which is given to a player who did not play in enough games to qualify for All-District honors due to injury.

The district’s coaches also named Washington senior Carson Ryan to the honorable mention list. Ryan died in a hunting accident in September.
