IMS drops first game
After winning their first five games of the season, the IMS boys? basketball team fell for the first time in 2015-16 on Friday night.

IMS drops first game
After winning their first five games of the season, the IMS boys? basketball team fell for the first time in 2015-16 on Friday night.
IMS was outscored in three of the four quarters against Pekin on Friday night, falling 56-45 to Pekin.
Eli Gingerich led the team with 15 points and four assists in the game, but IMS was held to just 2-of-10 shooting from behind the 3-point line in the setback.
IMS responded with a victory on Saturday to close out the first half of the season, defeating the Comets 54-30, behind three players scoring in double figures.
Drake Brezina scored 14 points in the game, with sophomore Reggie Borntrager notching 11 and Gingerich scoring 10.
Gingerich also notched 12 assists in the game, as the team shot 55 percent from the field.
IMS will open the second half of the season with a 6-1 record, and will take on Washington on Jan. 2.
WACO falls to Pekin
The WACO boys? basketball team was held down offensively on Tuesday night against Pekin, falling 61-27.
The Warriors were held to 30 percent shooting in the contest, while only connecting on 1-of-12 3-point attempts.
Senior Jackson Gerot came off the bench to lead the team with nine points, while Duncan Pickard notched six points.
Gabe Black and Bryce Achen each notched seven rebounds in the contest, while three different Warriors notched two assists.
WACO (2-7) will open the 2016 portion of the schedule on Jan. 5 when it hosts Highland.
