The weekend soccer schedule was heavily interrupted by rainy weather, but a few games were played despite the harsh conditions.
GIRLS
Burlington 10, Fairfield 0
The Grayhounds were unstoppable in the Trojans’ road trip east on Thursday.
Burlington scored all 10 goals in the first half to end the game by the break.
Fairfield keeper Jaden Haynes had nine saves in the game.
Mediapolis 3, Fairfield 0
Fairfield played a much better game one day after the trip to Burlington. The Trojans were tied at Mediapolis at halftime before the Bullettes ran away late.
Fairfield once again struggled to get shots off, but Haynes saved 13 shots.
Anamosa 3, Mid-Prairie 1
Two goals from Anamosa in the first half were too much to overcome for the Golden Hawks.
Elise Gingerich scored one goal in the second half, and Niva Helmuth saved 17 shots, but Mid-Prairie fell in a River Valley home game.
BOYS
Muscatine 5, Washington 0
The Demons headed north to take on a tough Muskies squad, and Washington couldn’t break through on the scoreboard.
Muscatine scored four goals in the opening half to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. The Muskies put up one more goal in the second half.
Hillcrest Academy 2, Danville 1
The Ravens held off the Bears with a one-goal home win.
Micah Gerber scored both goals for the Ravens, putting both his shots on net into the goal.
Mason Helmuth had five saves in the win.
Hillcrest Academy 5, Cedar Valley Christian 0
Hillcrest Academy moved to 6-0 on the year with a shut out win over Cedar Valley Christian. Hillcrest scored four of its five goals in the first half.
Rowan Miller had two goals in the win. Gerber, Jesse Blossom and Mason Bender each scored one.
Mid-Prairie 4, Anamosa 1
After a one-goal first half, Mid-Prairie scored three in the second half to get past the Blue Raiders.
Tucker Miller had two goals and an assist in the win. Drake Price and Hudson Ehrenfelt each scored one goal.

Highland scored three goals in the first half and four in the second to shutdown Sigourney-Keota in Riverside.
