Van Buren County put up 36 runs in two games to continue its fantastic season.
Van Buren County 21, New London 4 (5)
The bats were rattling for the Warriors, who scored in every single offensive frame of a five-inning win.
Sophie Jirak was 3-for-3 with four RBIs to lead VBC. Lexie Wiley was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Ashlynn Huff and Callie Kracht also had three-hit games.
Van Buren County 15, Holy Trinity Catholic 7
The Warriors kept the good times flowing with an eight-run win over the Crusaders.
Ivy Davidson played long ball, finishing 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs. Huff knocked in three runners. Annabelle Cormier and Ally Cambell each had two RBIs, and Cambell picked up the win in the circle.
West Burlington 12, New London 0 (3)
The Tigers had trouble containing division rival West Burlington, who scored 12 runs in three at-bats.
West Liberty 15, Mid-Prairie 1
The Golden Hawks were in the game late, but West Liberty piled on 11 runs in their last two at-bats to pull away.
Sophia Miller went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead Mid-Prairie in the loss. Sydney Knebel had three hits, and Hannah Sellers had two.

The Golden Hawks got revenge in Game 2, beating the Comets by five runs.
Mount Vernon 10, Mid-Prairie 1
Mid-Prairie couldn’t stick with Mount Vernon in the Linn-Mar/Alburnett tourney.
No. 12 (3A) Albia 8, Cardinal 0
The Comets were shut out in a South Central Conference home battle against a ranked foe.
Emma Becker was 1-for-4 with a double in the loss for Cardinal. That was the Comets’ only extra-base hit.
PCM 3, Cardinal 2
The Comets couldn’t pull off a comeback against PCM.
The Comets entered the bottom of the seventh down two runs, but only plated one in a rally attempt.
Kinsey Hissem was 1-for-4 with a triple in the loss. Nicoa McClure knocked in one run and gave up just three earned runs over 6.1 innings of work in the circle.
Belle Plaine 12, Keota 2
Eighth-grader Maya Dalton had a great game for the Eagles, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and four stolen bases. Emily Sheetz was 1-for-2 with a double, but Keota couldn’t pull off the win.
Lone Tree 17, Winfield-Mount Union 3 (3)
The Wolves gave up 17 runs in just two Lone Tree at bats for an SEISC North road loss.
Kellee Milks was 1-for-2 with two RBIs in the loss. Keely Malone knocked one in.
Highland 15, Hillcrest Academy 2
The Huskies’ offense got to flex its muscle in an SEISC North showdown.
Abigail Pierson went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs in the win. Sarah Burton and Adisyn Prottsman each knocked in two runs, and Payton Brun scored three times.
Highland 10, Lone Tree 0 (5)
Jessica Kraus shut out the Lions, striking out nine batters in a five-inning one-hitter.
Burton went 1-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs. Abbi Stransky was 1-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs. Madison Beeson was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Columbus/WACO 14, Pekin 1
The Wildcats scored 11 runs in the fist inning and never looked back in an SEISC North win.
Jocelyn Fulton went deep, finishing 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Ellie Sanders had three RBIs. Aracely Garcia and Victoria Howell each had two RBIs.
Columbus/WACO 16, Hillcrest Academy 0
One night later, the Wildcats were too much for the Ravens in another SEISC North showdown.
Lily Coil went 3-for-3 with two RBIs for Columbus/WACO. She also pitched a three-inning, three-hit shut out.
Lizzie Gerot was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, and Daniela Diaz knocked in two runs as well.
Hillcrest Academy’s Delaney Shaw finished 2-for-2.
Wapello 15, Pekin 0
The Panthers were ousted on the road in SEISC North play.
