Area softball teams have busy week
Mid-Prairie went 3-3 over the course of the last week. They lost to Monticello Thursday, June 1, 10-12.
They played in the Iowa City West tournament Saturday, June 3. They lost the first game to Muscatine 1-11 and lost in the second game 3-5 to North Scott.

The Highland girls won over Columbus Friday, June 2, by an 11-0 score and won at Iowa City High 14-12 Saturday, June 3. The girls lost their first game of the season Tuesday, June 6, by a score of 4-8.
They have a 5-1 record and are home to West Burlington tonight starting at 7 p.m.
The Iowa Mennonite team won their contest over Columbus, Monday, June 5, 15-5, for their first win of the year.
The girls lost at West Burlington, Tuesday, June 6, by a 1-6 final score. They next play against New London at home Monday, June 12. Game time starts at 5:30 p.m.
The WACO/Columbus team lost to Louisa-Muscatine 0-10 Thursday, June 1 and lost their game at Highland, Friday, June 2, 0-11. In the game at Iowa Mennonite, Monday, June 5, the final score was 5-15 in IMS? favor.
The team?s next game is tonight starting at 7 p.m. when they play against Central Lee.
The Keota girls were handed a 5-20 loss by English Valleys, Friday, June 2. They lost to Montezuma 1-11 Monday, June 5 and lost at North Mahaska, Wednesday, June 7, by a 1-13 score.
Keota is host to Lynnville-Sully, Friday, June 9, starting at 6 p.m.
