Area teams compete in Pella
Over the weekend, many area schools went to compete at the Central College High school indoor track meet.
In the girls? meet, IMS, WACO and Washington had participants, while IMS, WACO, Mid-Prairie were all participating in the boys? portion of the meet.

Over the weekend, many area schools went to compete at the Central College High school indoor track meet.
In the girls? meet, IMS, WACO and Washington had participants, while IMS, WACO, Mid-Prairie were all participating in the boys? portion of the meet.

Iowa Mennonite
The Iowa Mennonite School track and field team went to Pella and came away with five individual top 20 finishes at the highly competitive meet.
IMS?s top place finish came from Levi Geyer, who took eighth place in the boys? 3200-meter run, posting a time of 11:39.09.
Drake Brezina also earned a top 20 performance for the boys, taking 17th in the long jump.
In the girls? events, Calli Shaw set a personal best in the 400-meter dash with a 1:08.68, taking 12 in the event.
Ruby Ney finished in 19th in the 60-meter hurdles with a 10.68, while Avery Blauvelt finished in 15th during the 3200-meter run.
IMS will compete next at Danville on March 31.

WACO
The WACO boys? and girls? track teams had strong performances in the start to their track season over the weekend.
The highlight came from senior Bryce Achen, who posted a trio of top 10 finishes, coming in the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash.
The girls? top finish came from junior Halle Kissell, who took 15th place in the 400-meter dash.
The WACO boys will take part in Tuesday?s Demon Relays in Washington next, while the girls will compete in Mediapolis for their next meet on March 31.

Mid-Prairie
The Mid-Prairie boys? track team picked up three top 10 finishes at the Central College invitational.
David Fleming earned a ninth-place finish in the 3200-meter run, posting an 11:40.
Marshal Teets also earned a top 10 finish with an eighth-place mark in the high jump, reaching 5 feet ? 8 inches.
Teets, Andrew Schwartz, Brent Foster and Kyle Miller combined to post a time of 9:33.62 in the 4x800-meter relay to take ninth overall.
The Mid-Prairie boys? track team will be in action again on Tuesday at the Demon Relays in Washington.
