Area teams do well in Mt. Pleasant meet

Area track teams took part in different events Friday, March 31, with many having top finishes.

Mid-Prairie?s Anna Hostetler and sister, Marie, took first and second place respectively in the 1500-meter run.

Anna?s time was 4:44.16 and Marie had a time of 4:52.46.

Kessa Jones from Mid-Prairie had a first place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:16.23.

Washington?s Ethan Hunt finished the 400-meter dash in first place with a time of 54.67 followed by Andrew Schwartz from Mid-Prairie in second in 55.07.

Levi Duwa threw the shot put 50 feet 4 1/2 inches to take first place.

The Mid-Prairie team of Peyton Miller, Cary Schaefer, Marshal Teets and Quinn Schmidt finished the 4x400-meter relay in first place with a time of 3:36.05.

Miller, Andrew Schwartz, Zach Pettit and Schmidt ran the 4x800-meter relay in 8:28.17 to take first place.
