Area wrestlers punch ticket to State meet Saturday
Other area wrestlers took to the mats Saturday, winning in their weight class to move on to action in the State tournament this week.
In Class 2A, Visouth Peterschmidt from Mid-Prairie took first place in the 182 weight class.
From Columbus, Jarod Kadel (106) came in second place and Tucker Morrison (170) finished in first place.
In Class 1A from WACO, Cody Crawford (285) took second place.

Other area wrestlers took to the mats Saturday, winning in their weight class to move on to action in the State tournament this week.
In Class 2A, Visouth Peterschmidt from Mid-Prairie took first place in the 182 weight class.
From Columbus, Jarod Kadel (106) came in second place and Tucker Morrison (170) finished in first place.
In Class 1A from WACO, Cody Crawford (285) took second place.
Cory Stewart from Highland came in second place in the 132 weight class.
Three from Sigourney-Keota are moving on. Mason Dye (106) came in second place as did Noah Boender (220) and coming in first place from S-K was Kaleb Reeves in the 195 weight class.
All wrestlers will compete in the first round and first-round consolations Thursday, Feb. 16. Class 1A starts at 1:30 p.m. with Class 2A at 6 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Arena.
Friday?s action will consist of the quarterfinals and second-round consolations. Class 1A starts at 9 a.m. with Class 2A at 2:30 p.m.
The semifinals and third consolation rounds follow at 7:30 p.m. for Class 1A and 8:45 p.m. for Class 2A.
The consolation semifinals and finals begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. The Grand March and finals begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.
