The Golden Hawks scored in every inning but the first and downed Cardinal by the mercy rule in five innings.

Pekin wins in eight
WINFIELD ? The Pekin offense awoke at the right time to down Winfield-Mount Union 14-8 in an eight-inning make-up game Friday.
Pekin was held scoreless in the fourth through seventh innings before exploding for the six-run eighth.
Tater Clubb paced the 15-hit offense with four hits in five at-bats. Derek Morales went 2 for 3 with four RBI and Thomas Slaney had two RBI on two hits.
Pekin?s Nazareth Rambo picked up the win, allowing six runs in five innings and striking out four.
