Baseball postseason brackets released

The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released the brackets for baseball teams in all classes across the state.

Washington will be host to Williamsburg Friday, July 14, in the first round of Class 3A, Substate 5 Region 9 play.

The winner of that game will play either Davenport Assumption or West Liberty Monday, July 17, starting at 7 p.m.

The only area Class 2A schools are Mid-Prairie and Columbus.

They will play against each other in District 10 action at Mid-Prairie Saturday, July 8, starting at 7 p.m.

Whoever wins will play against West Burlington at Regina Tuesday, July 11 at 5 p.m.

In Class 1A District 8, Iowa Mennonite will face Tri-County at Keota Tuesday, July 11, starting at 5 p.m.

Keota will play against BGM following the IMS/Tri-County game at 7 p.m.

The winner of both games will face each other Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m. That game will be played at Keota.

Highland plays in Class 1A District 10. The Huskies are host to Danville Tuesday, July 11, starting at 7 p.m.

The winner will face either Pekin or Cardinal Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at Highland.
