Van Buren County 14, New London 4
Van Buren County won big at home on Tuesday against New London.
For the Warriors, T.J Jirak led with two hits and two RBIs in the win.
Jackson Manning and Sam Warth both finished with three RBIs. Taylor Sprouse ended with two RBIs as well.
Dominic Meierotto gave up four runs (four earned) on five hits and four strikeouts.
Hillcrest Academy 10, Highland 4
Hillcrest Academy scored six runs in the first three inning to propel itself past Highland on Tuesday.
Luke Schrock, Grant Bender and Josiah Beachy each had two hits in the game. Bender had two RBIs as well.
Schrock and Beachy each ended with one RBI.
Phoenix Anderson finished with two RBIs and Rowan Miller had one RBI.
Schrock allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits and 10 strikeouts.
Solon 7, No. 1 (Class 2A) Mid-Prairie 6
Solon led Mid-Prairie 6-2 heading into the sixth inning on Tuesday, but the Golden Hawks were able to tie the game in the seventh.
However, the Spartans were able to score the game winning run in the bottom of the frame.
Karson Grout led the Golden Hawks with three hits and one RBI.
Brady Weber and Alex Bean each had two hits and Weber finished with two RBIs and Bean one.
North Mahaska 6, Cardinal 3
North Mahaska and Cardinal went scoreless through four innings on Tuesday.
The Warhawks went on to score two in the fifth and four in the sixth to down the Comets. Cardinal scored three in the seventh.
Josh Courtney and Drake Durflinger both had two hits in the game for Cardinal. Durflinger ended with one RBI.
Craig Miller and Braden Ballard both had RBIs as well.
