Baseball roundup: Washington gets first win, Highland stays undefeated

The Demons grabbed their first win of the season against the Blue Devils.
The game was all knotted up, 3-3, after one inning, but Washington added three runs in the sixth to seal the win.
At the plate, the Demons had seven hits in the game.
Ethan Patterson, Ethan Zieglowsky, Lucas Kroll, Matt Wolf, Tim Willits and Zeke Slagel each tallied an RBI.
Patterson and Kroll were on the mound. Kroll pitched three innings, allowing three hits and three runs, one earned. He also had three strikeouts. Patterson threw for four innings, allowing three hits and striking out five.
Highland 12, Hillcrest Academy 5
Hillcrest led after two innings of play, but 12 runs in three straight innings propelled the Huskies to a win.
Highland had 18 total hits in the game, including two home runs with 11 RBI’s.
The Ravens tallied just six hits in the game.
Chase Schultz threw six inning on the mound for Highland. He allowed four hits, three runs (three earned) and struck out 10. Peyton Yeggy threw one inning, allowing two hits and two runs (two earned).
For Hillcrest, Luke Schrock pitched four innings, allowing 14 hits, 11 runs (eight earned), two walks and three strikeouts. Seth Ours threw two innings, allowing three hits, one run (one earned) and two strikeouts.
Louisa-Muscatine 14, Winfield-Mt. Union 9
Three big innings by Louisa-Muscatine were enough to down the Wolves on Tuesday.
WMU led after one inning, but it wasn’t enough.
The Falcons had 12 total hits in the game with nine RBI’s.
