Beatty claims more victories in cycling career
IMS senior Alijah Beatty has made big marks in the cycling world already, but her strong career continued over the past few months.

IMS senior Alijah Beatty has made big marks in the cycling world already, but her strong career continued over the past few months.
Beatty traveled to Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, for track racing, where she won the national championship in the 17-18-year old scratch race, points race, individual pursuit, team pursuit and second place in the team sprint. She also took third in the Keirin competition.
Over the summer, Beatty has won criterium races in Burlington, Muscatine and Quad Cities, while also competing internationally.
Beatty also took first place in the stage road race and the criterium stage at the Tour of Rimouski in Quebec, Canada, finishing second in the team time trial and the individual time trial during the event in July.
Beatty also competed at the National Road Race Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, where she took second place in the road race and ninth place in the criterium.
Overall since March, Beatty has taken part in more than 38 races in the United States and Canada, and was selected to participate in a talent camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for testing and future development.
She is a member of Northstar Development Cycling Team in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
