Big school girls basketball begins
Washington, Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant all in action on Tuesday night
The area’s big school girls basketball teams will play their first regular season games of the season on Tuesday. All three teams hit the road in game number one.
Fairfield will be in a Union area clash at Mid-Prairie. The two teams played each other in the opener last season as well, with the Golden Hawks winning 59-42 at Fairfield High School.
Washington will be at Muscatine for its first game of the year. The Demons haven’t played the Muskies since 2020, when Muscatine beat Washington 44-24.
Mt. Pleasant will head to Pella for its first game of the year. The Panthers fell at home to Pella last season, dropping the game 51-37.
