Big school wrestling teams hit the mats on Thursday

Fairfield, Washington and Mt. Pleasant were all on the road for wrestling on Thursday. It wasn’t a full Southeast Conference slate, as Mt. Pleasant was at a quad in Iowa Valley, which also included Sigourney-Keota. Fairfield went 2-0 including a conference win over Keokuk, and Washington fell to Fort Madison.

Fairfield takes 2 in Keokuk

The Trojans defeated Keokuk 54-24 on conference play, but also tallied a 60-18 victory against a team over the river, in Warsaw, Illinois.
