Bontrager, Miller lead Hillcrest Academy cross-country teams

CENTER POINT — Collin Miller and Leah Bontrager led the Hillcrest Ravens cross-country teams Tuesday in Center Point at the Stormin’ Pointer Invitational held on the Center Point-Urbana school grounds.
Miller broke 20 minutes on a 5-kilometer course for the first time in his high school career, finishing in 19:53.
The Ravens placed ninth in the boys team race while the girls were one short of having a team total. Marion runners finished first through sixth and won the team title with a perfect score of 15. Shane Erb won in 16:00.
Bontrager placed 19th in 22:38. Kora Katcher won the race in 19:26, leading Center Point-Urbana to a team title over 3A ranked Marion and Waverly-Shell Rock.
The Ravens run next on Sept. 30 at the Iowa City Kickers Soccer Complex.
