"Ottumwa out dueled our girls but once again, there were some positives. Natalie Booton continues to lead our team in every meet we play and is either medalist or just right there," said coach Jim Kelly. "Courtney Mabeus continues to play with more confidence each meet and her low scores reflect her hard work and determination."
Mabeus was two strokes behind Booton on Tuesday, shooting a 46 at Ottumwa Municipal Course. Lindsay Dorn came in with a nine-hole score of 50, followed by Danika Christner with 56, Morgan Barton with 58 and Mackenzie Notestein rounded out the scoring with a 64.
Mt. Pleasant travels back to Ottumwa on Thursday, May 5, for the Ottumwa Invitational starting at 12 p.m.
