Booton wins medalist for second consecutive year at SEC tournament
Behind Natalie Booton's seventh medalist finish of the year, the Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team finished third at a very hot Southeast Conference meet on Tuesday at the Keokuk Country Club.
Booton shot a 90 over the par 72, 18 hole course, three strokes ahead of Cassy Tusler and Abby Threlkeld, both of Washington; Tusler and Threlkeld tied for runner-up medalist.

Behind Natalie Booton's seventh medalist finish of the year, the Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team finished third at a very hot Southeast Conference meet on Tuesday at the Keokuk Country Club.
Booton shot a 90 over the par 72, 18 hole course, three strokes ahead of Cassy Tusler and Abby Threlkeld, both of Washington; Tusler and Threlkeld tied for runner-up medalist.
Booton's medalist finish Tuesday marked the second consecutive conference meet where she has won the honor.
Morgan Barton was second for the Panthers with a 111 score, followed by Courtney Mabeus at 112, Danika Christner at 115 and Mackenzie Notestein at 120. Lindsay Dorn withdrew from the tournament after an injury.
Mt. Pleasant travels to Fairfield for a meet tomorrow afternoon, starting at 3 p.m.
