Boucher claims title

CLARENCE - In the River Valley Conference Tournament Saturday at North Cedar, Mid-Prairie High School's wrestling team finished 11th.
Mid-Prairie's Isaac Boucher was the league champion at 195 pounds. Boucher, who has a 34-6 record, won the title with a 10-7 decision in the championship match. Boucher was the third seed in his bracket. He won his first match in 37 seconds, then downed the second seed 10-7 in the semifinals before defeating the top seed in the finals.
Other top five placewinners for the Golden Hawks were Mason Hartley (16-15), who was fourth at 152, Colton Allen (28-12), who was fourth at 182, and Josh Wallington (26-19), who was fifth at 220.
Mid-Prairie wrestles at the Solon sectional Saturday.
