Bowlers fall to Panthers on Saturday
The Washington bowling teams hosted Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, but ended up being swept on the day.
The boys? team lost a tight match to the Panthers, falling by less than 100 pins, dropping the contest 2,626 to 2,544.

The Washington bowling teams hosted Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, but ended up being swept on the day.
The boys? team lost a tight match to the Panthers, falling by less than 100 pins, dropping the contest 2,626 to 2,544.
In the girls? match, the Demons were unable to field a full team, and faltered 2,336 to 1,468.
For the boys, the team was led by a big day from Collin Zear, who posted a 190 and 201 in the individual rounds for a team-best 391 series.
Zear was closely followed by freshman Riley Lambert, who rolled a 192 and 196 en route to a 288.
Tucker Renoux rolled a 332 (171, 161), Kolton Segebart notched a 331 (158, 173) and Bailey Curtis picked up a 305 (166, 139), while Kylan Gillette had a 289 (139, 150).
In the Baker games, the Demons were outscored 820-797.
On the girls? side, Cheyenne Gillette led the charge with a 289, rolling games of 100 and 189.
Sophomore AnnaMarie Walter had a 281 (149, 132), while Trista Kelly had a 221 (112, 109) and Emily Kimmel rolled a 218 (128, 90).
In the Baker games, the Demon girls were outscored 758-459.
The Demons will be at home again on Saturday, when they take on Keokuk at Lebowski?s. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.
