Boys basketball roundup: Golden Hawks seal conference title, Tigers stay on course
Mid-Prairie clinches the River Valley South and New London stays out in front in SEISC

Mid-Prairie 84, Wilton 53
Mid-Prairie clinched the River Valley South Conference with the win over Wilton.
The Golden Hawks had no problem with the Beavers, outscoring them 36-24 in the first half and 48-29 in the second.
Carter Harmsen finished with 24 points and Jackson Pennington added 21.
Cardinal 72, West Burlington 54
The Comets win their fifth straight in the victory over West Burlington. They will matchup with Danville on Thursday.
New London 88, Central Lee 45
New London cruised to a 43 point victory over Central Lee. The Tigers stay in front in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference South standing with the win.
The Tigers outscored the Hawks 27-5 in the first, 32-15 in the second, 21-16 in the third and Central Lee won the fourth 9-8.
Winfield-Mt. Union 60, Louisa-Muscatine 34
The Wovles just keep winning. Winfield now has a commanding lead of the SEISC North division with the win.
Winfield outscored Louisa-Muscatine in all four quarters, 10-3, 11-8, 24-9, and 15-14.
Cam Buffington led the Wolves with 22 points and eight rebounds. Abram Edwards finished with 10 points.
Columbus 75, Lone Tree 56
The Wildcats used pulled away early, but the Lions fought back. Columbus used a big fourth quarter to pull out a 19 point win.
Columbus led 21-8 after one, but Lone Tree used a 16-9 second to make it a 30-24 game at the half. Following a 22-21 third, the Wildcats led 52-45. Columbus pulled away with a 23-12 fourth quarter.
Grant Watson finished with 19 points for the Wildcats.
Danville 39, WACO 37
WACO lost a very close one to Danville on Tuesday night in overtime.
A game between two of the top three teams in the conference did not disappoint. Danville outscored WACO 23-17 in the first half, but the Warriors turned around and outscore the Bears 20-14 to send the game to overtime.
In the extra period, Danville pulled out the win with just a 2-0 quarter.
Colton Leichty and Chase Waterhouse each finished with eight for the Warriors.
English Valleys 64, Keota 62
Keota lost in tight one to English Valleys, a game that needed overtime to decide a winner.
The Eagles found themselves down 18-12 after the first, but bounced back with a 16-8 second to take the lead at the half, 28-26. Keota increased the lead, 46-40, with an 18-11 third, but English Valleys was able to send the game to overtime with a 17-11 fourth. The Bears prevailed with an 7-5 overtime period.
Evan Vittetoe paced the Eagles with 15 points and nine rebounds. Cole Kindred chipped in 14.
