Boys basketball roundup: Mid-Prairie gets back on track

Mid-Prairie (10-2) 78, Tipton (7-5) 42
Mid-Prairie got back in the win column with a victory over Tipton on Friday night.
The Golden Hawks jumped out to an early 22-15 lead after one and only extended it from there on out.
Mid-Prairie outscored Tipton 24-6 in the second, 17-14 in the third and 15-7 in the fourth to pull out the big win.
Keota (13-2) 80, Moravia (5-7) 56
Keota took care of business on Saturday against Moravia. The Eagles outscored the Mohawks 47-24 in the first half and closed it out with a 33-32 final two periods.
Columbus (6-8) 74, Highland (1-11) 51
Columbus had just a nine point lead on Highland at the half Friday, 43-34, but a dominant second half propelled the Wildcats to victory.
In the second half, Columbus outscored the Huskies 31-16.
Hillcrest Academy (13-1) 51, Winfield-Mt. Union (8-6) 43
Hillcrest Academy picked up a SEISC North win on Friday night against Winfield-Mt. Union. The Ravens led 14-7, 30-18 and 44-36 after the opening three quarters. The two teams scored seven a piece in the fourth as the Ravens took the win.
Kale Bailey led Hillcrest with 13 points. Bryce Bailey finished with 12 and Mason Bender had 10.
For WMU, Jake Edwards finished with 20 points. Lane Genkinger ended with 11 and Max Edwards 10.
