Boys basketball roundup: WACO clinches North

Keota 71, English Valleys 48
Keota picked up win number 17 with a victory over English Valleys.
For the Eagles it was never in doubt as they outscored the Bears 15-8, 17-14, 24-12 and 15-14.
Evan Vittetoe led Keota with 23 points. Sawyer Stout and Cole Kindred both added 14 points.
Winfield-Mt. Union 71, Highland 29
Winfield-Mt. Union had a great night on both ends of the floor against Highland on Tuesday night.
The Wolves lead 14-9 after one, 35-16 at the half and 58-20.
Jake Edwards led WMU with 16 points. Cam Buffington finished with 16 as well. Carter Loyd added 13.
No. 4 WACO 66, Lone Tree 28
WACO made it 18 in a row and clinched the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North with the win over Lone Tree.
The Warriors dominated the Lions, taking all four quarter, 25-12, 20-5, 14-3 and 7-5.
Leading WACO on the night was Hunter Hughes with 15 points. Cody Graber finished with 11 and Colton Leichty had nine.
Pekin 69, Louisa-Muscatine 53
After a slow first quarter, Pekin took the final three quarters for its 11th win.
The Panthers trailed 9-6 after one, but outscored the Falcons 22-17, 20-9 and 21-18 in the next three quarters.
Hillcrest Academy 63, Wapello 38
Hillcrest Academy was down to Wapello by the end of the opening two quarters on Tuesday, but the Ravens ended strong.
The Ravens trailed 25-20 at the break, but they outscored the Arrows 43-13 between the third and fourth.
Luke Schrock finished with 27 points in the win. Grant Bender had 23 and Seth Ours added five.
Burlington Notre Dame 79, New London 57
Tipton 51, Mid-Prairie 49
Mid-Prairie came up just short against Tipton on Tuesday.
The Tigers held a 18-9 lead after the first and led 30-21 at the break. The Golden Hawks clawed back in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 15-11 and 13-10, but it wasn’t enough.
Camron Pickard paced Mid-Prairie with 14 points. Shawn Dodds ended with 10 and Ace Peck had eight.
Clarke 75, Cardinal 53
Clarke was just too much for Cardinal on Tuesday night.
The Comets were down 22-11 after one and 38-25 at the half. Cardinal took the third 20-19, but was outscored in the fourth 18-8.
