Boys basketball roundup: WMU over Highland
Wolves stay unbeaten in SEISC North play, Pekin pounds Lone Tree

Monday saw three small school games take place, as Winfield-Mount Union and Pekin both picked up conference wins while WACO fell.
Winfield-Mount Union 56, Highland 29
Winfield-Mount Union stayed undefeated in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division with a win over Highland.
Cam Buffington led the way with 16 points, 13 rebounds and three steals. Abram Edwards had 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, and Jake Edwards finished the night with 13 points.
Highland’s Chase Schultz scored nine points nad pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Huskies. Trevor McFarland and Jaden Schmid each had six.
Danville 43, WACO 38
WACO couldn’t hold home court in a crucial SEISC South matchup with Danville. The Bears won to stay in second place in the division with an 8-1 record, and WACO is now 6-3 in league play, for third.
The Warriors led 28-15 at the half but an 11-4 third quarter helped Danville overtake the lead and the Bears won the fourth quarter 7-6.
Reece Oswald scored 15 pointsfor WACO. Simeon Reichenbach scored six.
Pekin 60, Lone Tree 29
The Panthers romped the Lions in a SEISC North Division game. Pekin led 16-4 after one quarter, 26-9 at halftime and 50-16 after three quarters.
Pekin has now won two of its last three in the SEISC North.
