Van Buren County held off New London on the road to pick up a Southeast Iowa Super Conference victory on Tuesday night.
Hillcrest Academy 70, Columbus 33
Hillcrest Academy put together a dominant performance against Columbus on Tuesday.
The Ravens led 44-15 after one half and 62-17 after three. Columbus bounced back with a 16-8 fourth, but the Ravens’ lead was too great.
Winfield-Mt. Union 56, Lone Tree 52
Winfield-Mt. Union edged Lone Tree in overtime on Tuesday night.
The Wolves led the Lions by just one point at the half, 23-22. WMU built a 34-29 advantage after three, but Lone Tree outscored the Wolves 18-13 in the fourth to force overtime.
In the extra period, WMU won the battle 9-5.
Keota 71, North Mahaska 61
Keota picked up a huge win on Tuesday with a victory over North Mahaska.
The Eagles led 46-42 after three quarters, but put their best together in the fourth, winning the scoring battle 25-19.
Regina Catholic 62, Mid-Prairie 51
Mid-Prairie suffered its second loss of the season on Tuesday with a loss to Regina Catholic.
The Golden Hawks were down 10 after three quarter, 50-40. They went on to outscored the Regals 11-7 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough.
