Boys’ bowling team wins home meet

The Mt. Pleasant bowling team hosted its first triangular of the year on Thursday, hosting Washington and West Central. The MP boys used home-alley advantage to their advantage to top both opponents.
The total pinfall for the Panther boys was 2,447. West Central rolled a 2,293 and Washington scored a 1,948. The Mt. Pleasant girls finished with a score of 1,791, falling to both Washington (2,346) and West Central.
The Mt. Pleasant boys had five bowlers finish over 300 on the day, led by Ethan Oilar. Oilar rolled a 182 in the first game and a 193 in the second game to finish at 375. Brandon Boggess finished right behind Oilar with a 361, rolling a 141 and 220.
Levi Mills rolled a 184 and a 158 to end the day at 342. Sam Anderson scored a 158 and a 151 to finish at 309. Mark Steinhoff rolled a 158 and 146 to score 304, and Owen Steinhoff rolled a 110 and a 99 to score 209.
The Panther boys' Baker games went 161, 143, 120, 172 and 160.
The Mt. Pleasant girls were led by Alexis Wohlleber and Gillian Anderson, both of which finished just under 300. Wohlleber rolled a 153 in the first game and a 142 in the second game to end at 295. Anderson rolled 169 and 125 to finish at 294.
Medow Jensen rolled a 126 and a 115 to close the day out at 241. Danna Wilson rolled a 115 and a 100 to score 215. Both Arlouny Phosy and Alex Hedgecock scored 187. Phosy rolled a 105 and an 82, and Hedgecock bowled a 90 and a 97.
Baker games for the varsity girls went 92, 136, 126, 111 and 94.
The Panthers will have over a week-long break before heading to Fairfield on Saturday, Dec. 15.
