Cardinal place 17th at Rich Gray Wrestling Invitational
Isaac Cox was the leading wrestler Cardinal, finished second at 285 and tallying 24 points team points.
Ryan Heiserman tallied five points at 215. Brock Lewman (165), Kyran Spees (138), Zach Luedtke (132) and Dayton Wood (113) all notched four points.
Braden Ballard (157) tallied two team points, followed with Bradly Snook (126) who picked up one team point.
Columbus/WMU wins three of four in home duals
Columbus/WMU picked up a trio of wins in their home duals on Friday. The Wildcats defeated Tipton 43-30, North Scott 54-12 and Southeast Polk 69-12.
The Wildcats only loss was to West Liberty 38-33.
Van Buren County places 8th, New London 7th in Louisa-Muscatine Tournament
In a 10 team field, Van Buren County scored 70 team points, which was good enough for eighth. New London followed with 66 points and an ninth-place finish.
Tyler Stoltz and Korbin Camp led the Warriors with a second-place finishes at 144 and 132 respectively.
T.J. Jirak placed fourth at 138. Jackson Meek followed with a fifth-place finish at 150 and Ethan Lamma finished sixth at 157.
For New London, Michael Raines was a first-place finisher at 165. Kane Forseen was a second-place finisher at 120 and Gavin Menke-Bailey placed third at 138. At 132, Riley Raines took sixth.
Highland 6th, WACO 8th at Kurt Hinschberger Invitational
Highland notched 105.5 points for sixth overall at Belle Plaine’s Kurt Hinschberger Invitational. WACO ended with 39.5 points for eighth.
For the Huskies, Jack Peiffer (157) and Luke Guseman (120) both placed first. Landon Bell and Tyler Pierson were both third overall at 106 and 113 respectively.
Brock Thomann (132), Jose Ramirez (165) and Remington Fields (150) placed fifth. Wade Eckrich placed sixth at 138 as well.
WACO’s lone winner was Louden Huisenga at 190. Gage Samo placed second at 113. John McLaughlin finished seventh at 126. Deacon Bird (138) and Lane Bachman (144) place eighth.
Sigourney-Keota places 6th at North Tama Redhawk Invitational
Sigourney-Keota posted 111 points at the North Tama Redhawk Invitational on Friday. Mid-Prairie took part in the tournament as well.
Sigourney-Keota’s Jake Moore placed first at 157 to lead the Cobras. Owen Menke placed second at 190. Brady Clark finished third at 132. Jack Griener (106), Jacob Libe (150) and Zach Guffey (285) placed fifth.
Quinn Callahan (215) and Burke Berry (285), Dalton Miller (120), Colin O’Rourke (126) were Mid-Prairie’s highest placers. All place third.
Trevyn Riley, Josh Turner and Max Howe took fourth overall at 106, 135 and 132 respectively.
